Opel CEO Florian Huettl aims for further growth in Greece

Rüsselsheim/Athens. Opel CEO Florian Huettl recently visited Greece , where he met with members of the Syngelidis Group, which is responsible for the import of Opel cars to Greece since 2021. In fact, Opel has managed to demonstrate a significant increase in market share and is in the second position in the Greek market after the first half of 2023.
“Since the beginning of the year, we have more than doubled our share of passenger car sales, in comparison to the previous year. We are in second place in total passenger and light commercial vehicles’ sales. Our Corsa is the best-selling model in Greece during the first half of the year”, said Opel CEO Florian Huettl.
With its attractive model range, Opel is very popular with the Greek customers. Also with the electrified cars on offer: Opel holds the second position in the electric vehicle market, with a market share of more than ten percent. which is even higher than the brand’s total market share.
“This is a very promising performance, perfectly in line with our strategy to become a fully electric brand in Europe by 2028. Now we want to make Opel even more successful in Greece, further increase our market share in electric vehicles and use the potential of our brand”, Florian Huettl added.
